What is it?
A resource block is a phase authoring component that allows educators to upload and share files with students. This block can be used to provide additional learning materials, such as videos, audio clips, images, or documents. Depending on the file type, the uploaded resource may be displayed directly within Allele or made available for download.
Supported File Types
-
Natively Rendered:
- Video: Common formats such as MP4, WEBM, MOV, M4V
- Audio: Common formats such as MP3, WAV, AAC, OGG

-

- Any other file type will appear as a downloadable link for students.
Uploading Files
After adding a resource block to your phase you can upload an asset by simply dragging a file into the blue outlined box within the resource block. Alternatively, you can left click anywhere within the blue box to bring up a file system browser where you can search for your file to upload.
Don't forget...
If you are wanting to natively render PDFs and optionally make them interactable, you can always use the Markup block.
